ZeppOS Player ONLINE
Hi everyone,
Since melianmiko's Zepplayer hasn't been updated for 3 years, I decided to create a modern version.
All currently available watches are selectable, and it also includes special features such as animations, smooth second, circle second, etc. I haven’t come across a watch face yet that doesn’t work with it. Both short and long tabs are supported. It’s an alternative to the original ZEPP Simulator, which some users have had trouble with. It includes standard .GIF creation, where you can select the number of frames and the speed. The highlight is the screen recording feature, where you can test your watch face and, for example, execute color changes or other scripts supported by the player. I’ve posted an ONLINE VERSION at https://shorturl.at/ZDPRF for testing or in case the site operators here are interested. If there is no interest from this site, the ONLINE version will only be available for a short time so as not to unnecessarily increase my traffic.
There’s also a standalone version. There, you can create a working folder and then switch back and forth between projects in the player. You also no longer need to unzip the watch face—just use the generated .ZIP file and you’re all set.
I would have liked to attach the STANDALONE version here as well, but the limit is only 5 MB, and the tool is 10 MB. Maybe an admin could increase my upload limit; then I could even keep the package up to date here and post new updates right away.

Is it possible to create a version where the ZIP file is extracted into a folder—similar to ZeppPlayer—so that the `index.js` file can be edited directly when testing watch face scripts?

That's easily possible in the STANDALONE version. I've also extracted all my WF files there and am editing the index.js file in real time. That doesn't work in the online version. The online version is actually meant for users who want to quickly test their first (or even third
) WF. The STANDALONE version is clearly intended for power users.
Unfortunately, I can’t send you a private message; otherwise, I would have sent you a download link. I’d rather not post the link publicly here.
But let's wait for an admin—maybe I'll get the chance to post the tool here, and then there will be updates for new watches or, for example, for ZeppOS 6. Users could also post their errors, and I'll take a look at them.

Thanks for the information, and that’s great news about the standalone version allowing direct edits to `index.js`.Lattenknaller wrote: 10 Sep 2026, 11:33That's easily possible in the STANDALONE version. As for the PMs, I apologize; I had them turned off for so long that I completely forgot.

Unfortunately, we can't increase the attachment limit just for one user. The attachment rules are global for the entire forum, so changing them would affect everyone.Lattenknaller wrote: 10 Sep 2026, 09:29I would have liked to attach the STANDALONE version here as well, but the limit is only 5 MB, and the tool is 10 MB. As an alternative, you can upload the standalone package to any file hosting service and send us the download link via private message. We'll host the file separately on our server and update it for you when new versions are released.
We could even try hosting it as a dedicated tool on our website, similar to the Watch Face Generator. If everything works well, we'd be happy to provide it with a permanent home on our server so users can always download/use the latest version.
If you're interested, just send us the file and we'll discuss the best way to organize it.

Okay, I'll make a few more tweaks tonight and then send you the files for the web version tomorrow. Thanks for agreeing to host the tool.
For now, 2–3 users will get the standalone version to test—uncompiled. As soon as everything is running smoothly, I'll host the tool on a file-hosting service and then offer support and updates. But as I said, that will come later. Thank you very much for your time.

New Version ONLINE 2.7.17
- Fixed an issue with the analog hour display
- Custom .ttf fonts are now used from the WF (this may cause some misalignment in the display, which is due to the font being used)
- Added various scripts, including sleep tracking and pulse charts.
- All types of animations should now work
I will first fix all reported bugs and then upload the ONLINE version to host it here. The STANDALONE version is being thoroughly tested and will soon be available for everyone to download here.

Wow @Lattenknaller This is quite the undertaking and much appreciated!
I really liked Melian's tool because I had a number of issues trying to get the Zepp simulator running on my laptop.
Your tool removes all these technical hurdles. I look forward to the release of the standalone version.
Nice!

You can upload the archive containing the portable version to any file-sharing site or to GitHub. Then post a link to that archive here. That’s what I do with my editor. If the portable version handles watch faces in the same way as Zepplayer, it will be much easier to make changes to the watch face and test new features.Lattenknaller wrote: 10 Sep 2026, 09:29I would have liked to attach the STANDALONE version here as well, but the limit is only 5 MB, and the tool is 10 MB.

In edit mode (blue pencil when you press and hold the dial), the element labels are not displayed. Also, in this mode, you cannot switch between the different windows (element selection and background selection). Just in case, I’ve attached the dial I used to test this.
It would be nice if, when you opened the dial, it switched straight away to the correct watch model.
In the list of models, some of the names begin with ‘Amazfit’ whilst others do not. This makes it a little difficult to choose the right model. It would be better to write all the names in the same style.

I don’t seem to have skins for all the models. If necessary, I can have a search for skins for the missing models.
