Watch face GTR3 Pro ( Weather icons )

Hello,
Just try to understand the reason we are having problem with the weather icons showing wrong ( synchronize order ) when it's night we see a sun...etc ( I did hear when can insert a script to fix the weather icon for showing at the right time night and day....and I am sure I am not the only person on the site seeing that issue for the GTR3, GTR3 Pro, GR4

* Before on my GTR2 the weather icons was fine when it's was raining outside its was showing all the right icons ( rain , ...... ) that mean the synchronize order was right *

Can someone help me for the GTR3 Pro just the weather icons I am having problem to synchronize order, I did around 328 watch face for GTR2 and GTR3 Pro but the only issue it's on the GTR3 Pro I am seeing right now.

Please just need help ( weather Icons )

The problem is that the device's firmware may not be easy to fix in this area (as far as I know no one can fix it), so it's like you said before that if it will show the day and night weather correctly. A custom script must be used to handle this problem.

PS. If I'm not mistaken, the new zepp OS 2.x has solved this problem, but Zepp OS 2.x will start with Device GTR4 and above, GTR3 / 3Pro will have to wait until there is an update or Updates may not be provided in version 1.x.

You have a good point with this, it always annoyed me when I still had a working watch.

I am quite sure there will be no updates for the GTR3 Pro anymore.

It goes like this on every watch from Amazfit.
When a new one comes out the one before just gets forgotten.
Quite sad but true.

The weather icon is not support for all devices under Zepp OS1.0 and OS2.0, Amazfit only fix that issue on Zepp OS2.1, before GTR4 upgrade to OS2.1, it also unable to display the night icon.
As I know, currently Amazift will upgrade Falcon and T-Rex2 to OS2.x soon, but unfortunately GTR3 and GTR3 Pro is not in the OS upgrade list plan.

You're right.
I am sure it can run zepp 2.0 easy.

They should take a look at Huawei in updating methods.
2 years after the GT 2 was launches it still recieved updates to run the latest possible changes.

Unfortunately this can only be a dream I guess.

Now they only bring way to expensive watches who are kind of alike.
And the cheetah which is a step back in functions.

Still doubt to wait for the gtr 5 or go with the Huawei watch gt 3 pro if I find a good deal.
But it's kinda strange to switch, using Amazfit since the first Pace watch .

For all those who want their GTR3, GTR3 Pro, T-Rex 2 to display night icons (until you get and if you ever upgrade to OS 2.1), I put an index file so you can download it and put it in a custom script

To display, you need to add night icons:
w_0 (cloudy) = w_0n (cloudy night);
w_1 (chance of rain) = w_1n (rainy night);
w_2 (chance of snow) = w_2n (snowy night)
w_3 ( sunny) = w_3n ( clear night )
w_14 (haze) =w_14n (haze/foggy night)
So you have to add 2 more icons ( w_2n and w_14n )
You can download some of my WF that I did for GTR3/3 Pro/ T-Rex2 where I put it and study

The author of this script is "leXxiR" from "4pda forum and all the credits go to him

@mirda69, you are the best, we really need to help each others here to solve those issue to share out our script, I'm feel sad for some people that they don't want to share and not allow other people to use the picture or script that they use in their WF, even though the watch face is ported from others place and he is not the original author for that WF.

I've never had a problem with someone using my works (and I copy other people's works anyway and port them here, because unfortunately I don't have enough knowledge and programs to create them myself), the only thing I would like is to at least state the source who ported it and put a link to them...because sometimes it takes hours and hours, if not days, to make some WF and port it here to the catalog

My opinion is that we are all here to help each other, not to hide and not allow others to be used

And that's why I thank Sasha immensely for his work and to the others who contributed to having an editor with which we can do miracles that the watch manufacturers themselves do not allow us

For me, I don't like to port others people watch face, I will prefer to make and design my own, but this really take time and challenge...

Believed or not, for my watch face "Live Sky and Weather", I create it since Nov 2022 for my own use, and after I decide to share it to public, I take about 3 months to to make improvement, re-design all the weather picture and text, try and error to test all the script to make sure it work in my watch face.

Even though I have sample to refer for those script, but one simple mistake, the watch face will totally failed and unable to install or will be "black screen" after install.

I learn a lot about the script when doing this improvement, until today, I still find the way how to implement multilingual in a single watch face, it's work but not perfect as I want.....

I'm not so sure about your question.
But if it means updating the firmware to fix the weather icon display problem, then I can't answer that either. because in this section Probably depends on "Amazfit (Huami)" or "Zepp" decision. If you mean firmware, I suggest you complain directly to Huami. ( https://support.amazfit.com/en/ )

In my opinion I think it is difficult for receive update in the old zepp OS version from Amazfit , But anyway, , personally, I think I can accept it because, it still show weather accurately just show the sun instead of the moon at night
by the way if it is fixed properly from amazift i am happy but I think it would be difficult to see any fixes on older devices from manufacturers.

There is not much choice here. You can wait for the watch manufacturer to fix this problem. For GTR4 in the last update they did so. But I'm not sure if there will be more updates for GTR3. Or you can use the script as in the example above. There are no other options.

I would suggest reaching out to the Zepp developers directly. They may be able to get this correction pushed out for the watches.
