Post by homer2009 »

Hello. What program can be used to reduce the size of a graphic file so that it is displayed on the dials in amazfit GTR?

As far as I know, there is no such program.
Because when packing files into watchface. The image must be specified by GTR's watch face standards. Whether the file will be reduced in size or not When converting, the images used in the GTR will be converted to the normal size of the GTR (the size may be slightly reduced by a few bytes) or sometimes the compressed images may not be use with GTR and cannot be packed.

Can someone tell me whether these icons can be used as weather icons in the Amazfit GTR watch face?

If it's a png, it should work without any problems.
But if you're talking about the GTR1, the problem you're likely to run into is the file size.
If you're using a large png for weather, you'll need about 25 of those images, which I think might be beyond the watchface size limit for the GTR.

Yes, it is a png file. But when I try to add it instead of the existing weather file in the watch face directory, the watch face does not want to compile.

I'm not sure about this part. normally GTR usually uses 24bit or 32bit png.
But the image you attached as an example looks like an 8bit png, which may cause the problem you mentioned.
Try converting to 32bit and test again.

sample image format that should work with GTR

It makes no sense to reduce image quality to reduce file size. Because if I remember correctly, in GTR 1 images are converted to a BMP-like format. So the only way to reduce the watch face is to reduce the width and height of the image. 1 pixel of the image requires 4 bytes.

To reduce PNG file sizes for Amazfit GTR watch faces, you can use any online tool like Png compressor. Just make sure the image is in 24-bit or 32-bit format and matches the required dimensions, as resizing can also help fit within the memory limits.
