Basata sul quadrante Duo Tone v 2.0, questa serie di 4 quadranti è dedicata ai mitici personaggi creati dal maestro Go Nagai. "PILDER ON" è il primo della serie, dedicato a Mazinger Z, personaggio che può essere considerato il capostipite dei robottoni giganti Giapponesi. Creato nel 1972, il manga di Go Nagai fu immediatamente adattato alla TV, e trasmesso nello stesso anno su Fuji Television. In Italia arrivò per vie traverse, dalla Spagna, dove il cartone aveva riscosso un clamoroso successo, solamente nel 1980, dopo che erano già stati trasmessi i suoi sequel, Grande Mazinga e Ufo Robot. La prima messa in onda fu trasmessa da Rai 1 in maniera discontinua e incompleta. La serie completa fu doppiata e pubblicata solo a partire dal 2015 ad opera di Yamato Video.
Il quadrante Duo Tone è basato su un classico disegno digitale a due colori, con numeri grandi ad alta visibilità disposti in verticale. Le informazioni visualizzate dal quadrante sono complete, e comprendono, meteo, temperatura, passi, obiettivo giornaliero, calorie, distanza, frequenza cardiaca con zone cardio, batteria residua e scorciatoie touch ai 4 angoli della corona.
Ho voluto un quadrante "serio" da dedicare ai miei personaggi preferiti, che potesse essere utilizzato come orologio principale, in grado di soddisfare più o meno le esigenze di tutti, e non un semplice quadrante per bambini.
