Watchface with seconds counter
Hello
I like watchfaces wich show me the seconds but this drain the battery very fast (drop for 1% every 3-4 hours).
If you selekt original watchface with the seconds counter there is no problem with battery drain.
Is there any special programming mode?
For programing and modifikation I am using this link: https://v1ack.github.io/watchfaceEditor/
anyone has experience with that?

I have noted that one of the analog watch faces that comes with the bip only shows the seconds when the watch is unlocked.
I don't know how to hide the seconds on my custom watch faces when the watch is locked, but it may be a good solution.

Hi,
found a post at
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=103
about using multiple dial faces for different state.
Could it be a good starting point?

Google translated the previous post:
Hello there:
2-3 table interfaces can solve the second hand hidden problem - but only in aesthetics.
Use the colors of the different table interfaces to make the pointer invisible.
But the real pointer. It has not disappeared. There is no way to solve the problem of battery exhaustion.
Can only be changed from the json file change code command.
Because the second pointer is not only the display seconds - it is the code command watch system - update all the data of all watches every second. The battery will run out.
Only the official code command has been issued. Now the official has not released this dial. Can not propose json to view the code command.
Unless someone can crack the watch. Ask the official code command to solve the problem of the second pointer battery exhaustion.
-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------
If it is an aesthetic problem, this 3 interface dial can help you. Study beautiful

So, we could try to hide the seconds pointer but it would still be draining lots of battery.
The only way to solve this is to put our hand on the original watch face json file and study how it manages to show the seconds only when unlocked.

Does anyone know where I could find the original analog watch face file? I've got an analog watchface which I'd like to implement second hand only when unlocked to save battery. Thanks!rodrigo.llps wrote: 19 Oct 2018, 12:35So, we could try to hide the seconds pointer but it would still be draining lots of battery.

Because the official dial is written in the system.
Its code is different from other codes.
Officials have not opened such codes.
You can find the resources of the core faces in the Mili_chaohu.res from MiFit .apkstupdude2 wrote: 23 Oct 2018, 13:40Does anyone know where I could find the original analog watch face file? Thank you. I've tried decompiling the latest Mili_chaohu.res file using the python script but it seems broken with the latest versions. Has anyone else had any luck decompiling the latest firmware?sfarkas wrote: 31 Oct 2018, 16:11You can find the resources of the core faces in the Mili_chaohu.res from MiFit .apkstupdude2 wrote: 23 Oct 2018, 13:40Does anyone know where I could find the original analog watch face file? For now I'll investigate using an older version which decompiles correctly.
Thank you. I was able to extract the watchface and user interface images and header.json, but no watchface json.
Follow-up question: if I updated the extracted user interface files like the Status, Activity or Weather icons or app icons, could I recompile them using watchface.exe and push them to the watch using Gadgetbridge? What if I included ONLY the updated files? Would they update kind of like a patch, just replacing the included files?
There is no such json in resource file I think. The usage is in the fw as get resuorce xx, or get resource nn.
Theoretically yes. If calling it without any parameter, you will get some help - I mean "Watchface.exe".
Never tried to upload a recompiled res to the watch.

This was useful info, thanks all! There are some animated watchfaces I really want to make, but I don't want them to drain the battery. If anyone figures out a way to use seconds or access some other timer so it doesn't drain the battery please make a post about it
