Hello, I'm trying to use SashaCX75's watchface editor to create my own watchface and use it on my amazfit active 2 square. After adding the time, date and some text I decided to try it on the watch to see how it looks, but I have encountered a problem I can't seem to solve. Any .zpk file (even from a known working watch face from this website, but repackaged using SashsCX75's editor) gives the "Invalid ZIP file format" error in Zepp's developer mode. I've also tried manually packaging the .zip file from the editor, but the same issue arises. And I even tried a watchface with only a time display and nothing else and still got the same error. So definitely there's an issue with how SashaCX75's watchface editor packs the .zpk file for my active 2 square, or something it does with the files for the watch, but it doesn't work and I can't fix it. This is my first time posting here and I'm not sure if my post is valid but I do need help and I didn't know where else to ask.

1. How did you test the file?
1.1 Did you upload a zip file to this website?
1.2 If you uploaded to another file hosting website, to create a QR code you need to upload a zpk file, not a zip file.
1.3 Did you receive the "Invalid ZIP file format" error when scanning the QR code? If so, where did you upload the file?
And did you follow the QR code creation requirements?

2. Regarding your question about the sashaCX75 editor, I tested creating an Active 2 Square watch face and tried installing it. It installed successfully, and I checked the zip and zpk packaging without any problems.

However, all tests were done on BipMAX by use watchface Activ2 square format. I'm not sure what the effect would be on Active2 Square, but as expected, there shouldn't be any difference because the scripts for both use the same format, differing only in screen size.

This QR code is valid for one month, after which it can no longer be used for installation.

I can only give you a general answer because I don't have the project you mentioned to test it on.

To answer all of your questions numbered 1-1.3, I was trying to test my watchface by uploading it to my watch, and that is what I have my problem with.
I didn't upload any files to this website because it requires a bunch of additional information which don't make sense for when I just want to test my own watch face which I am making just for myself to use, and also because I did in fact use the instructions you have linked, so I used a file hosting service (cloud storage), where I uploaded my .zpk file (not a .zip file), got the download link, and used Zint to generate a QR code of the type mentioned in the instructions (ISO 18004 and HIBC). The error I encountered comes up when installing the watch face, so the scan is successful, it starts installing, and after some time (3-6 seconds) gives me the error.
My "testing" process was as follows: I downloaded SashaCX75's editor, spent some time designing my watch face, and wanted to try uploading it to my watch. The process isn't straightforward though for getting it from the app to the watch, but the instructions you have linked were very helpful. Before seeing them I had no idea and was pressing the QR code button in the app but it didn't seem like it made a QR code to install the watchface onto the watch. Then I followed the instructions and came across a thing where every time I tried to upload my watch face the zepp app didn't react to the QR code, it scanned it, but nothing came afterwards. After 3 hours of troubleshooting I finally found out that the link needs to use the zpkd1:// protocol and not any other. Other than that, I had some trouble with the zepp app downloading the watch face using the download link, since I'm in a country with active and evolving internet restrictions, I settled for using yandex disk to get download links for my watch faces. I don't think it's the problem though because the download process finishes and the installation process begins, and only then I get my error. With the services in the instructions I had other problems like "null" exception (where zepp can't download the watch face files) or failing to upload the file to a service at all (catbox doesn't like me). VPNs or not it was a lot more problematic.
Anyways, when I initially posted I didn't notice the Attachments tab but I have uploaded my watch face .zip file generated by SashaCX75's editor, however I have also already tried uploading an extremely simple watch face (which only displays time in the default font and nothing else) and it also failed the same way, when a random watch face from this website installed successfully with no problems. The site doesn't allow neither .json or .zpk so I only uploaded the .zip file.

I'm not sure either. From the file you attached, I unpacked and packed it using the SashaCX75' editor, creating two files: a zip and a zpk.
Then, I tried creating a QR code from the .zpk file, and it installed normally.

I guess the problem might be:
1. An incorrect .zpk file (I'm not sure if you used the SashaCX75' editor to create it). If so, this shouldn't be the cause.
2. The server hosting the file might not be sending an incorrect Direct Download URL request or link is not Direct Download URL.
** I'm not entirely sure about this, but from what I've gathered from chatGPT,
Yandex Disk creates it when sharing files — but it's usually not a Direct Download URL.
This means it cannot be used to create a QR code for installation.

That's all I can guess, but the problem is definitely not with the SashaCX75' editor.

PS. If you want SashaCX75's editor to create a .zpk file when packing, you can select "create .zpk file" in the program's Settings.

I am in fact using SashaCX75's editor to make the .zpk file every time, and the option to create it is enabled.
I have solved the problem however, by using catbox.
Apparently, when I was initially trying to use catbox I had the protocol problem, so I never actually downloaded a file from there using the zepp app, but after some trial and error with my vpn it finally worked and my watch face is on my watch.
Catbox doesn't let me upload files with a vpn on, but does without, but on my phone I need a vpn on to download the file using the zepp app. My country's internet shenanigans get weirder every day, but thank you anyway for your effort and help.
