When unpacking the watch faces, it is advisable to immediately select the correct watch model, otherwise the colors may be distorted.

It is desirable to create a new project in a separate folder. Image names do not have to consist only of numbers, you can add short prefixes (for example, date_01, time_01).
Watch faces created in the editor and on Huami's website should unpack normally. Watch faces from Zepp and those created based on them will not be unpacked.
In a set of images for displaying one parameter (for example, images for displaying the day of the week), all images should preferably be the same size. If the size of the images is different, then the first image in the set should be the largest.

All new features in this and next release will be tested on the GTR4 and may not work on other models.

Here is a sample code with 2 widgets to display the temperature

Code: Select all

hmUI.createWidget(hmUI.widget.TEXT, {
    x: 65,
    y: 79,
    w: 350,
    h: 40,
    text_size: 25,
    char_space: 0,
    line_space: 0,
    color: 0xFF8080FF,
    text: "BODY_TEMP",
    align_h: hmUI.align.CENTER_H,
    align_v: hmUI.align.TOP,
    text_style: hmUI.text_style.ELLIPSIS,
    show_level: hmUI.show_level.ONLY_NORMAL,
});

normal_step_current_text_img = hmUI.createWidget(hmUI.widget.TEXT_IMG, {
    x: 177,
    y: 313,
    font_array: ["number_0.png","number_1.png","number_2.png","number_3.png","number_4.png","number_5.png","number_6.png","number_7.png","number_8.png","number_9.png"],
    h_space: 0,
    dot_image: '0004.png',
    invalid_image: '0007.png',
    align_h: hmUI.align.LEFT,
    type: hmUI.data_type.BODY_TEMP,
    show_level: hmUI.show_level.ONLY_NORMAL,
});
Sleep is a bit more complicated. It is possible to use hmUI.data_type.SLEEP, but the time will be displayed together with the waking time. To display the time correctly, you need to use hmSensor.id.SLEEP and loop through all the data.

First of all, thank you very much for your work on the AmazFit Watch Faces Editor.

I would really like to use the editor, but I only use Linux and do not have access to a Windows machine at home.
Does anyone have any advice or shared experiences on running the editor — for example, via Wine or other methods?— would be greatly appreciated.

I also noticed that the latest versions, such as v13.1, are currently only published here in the forum, while the GitHub repository seems to be outdated and only contains the source code without compiled releases.
Is there a specific reason why the latest versions are not uploaded to GitHub as well?

Thank you very much in advance for any help and clarification!

After many hours, I finally got it working on Linux using Wine. Should I document the process—and if so, where would be the best place to do that?

I think if you want to show the steps of using wine on linux for the purpose of opening the editor, you can open a new topic in the Watchface tools section viewforum.php?f=29
To separate it clearly, easy to find for users who have the same approach as you

But if you want to show only how to install wine on linux, I recommend to make it a new topic in the "off topic" section
viewforum.php?f=13
ͼͽ To request please use the interrelated forum in action ͼͽ
Please do not PM to me for requests ported watchface.

I'm lazy and don't see much need for it. I'll add a link to this forum in the description so you can download the app.

@gingerbeardman I replied to you on Discord. I will briefly tell you here as well.
In the code generated by the editor, console is used. Logger is used only in the unchangeable part of the code, which is copied from official watch faces. That's why I don't understand such a requirement.
I also find it strange. I have a feeling that they will never approve my watch face again. It was a free face doing thousands of downloads when they removed it for this bogus reason.

Good evening,
I wanted to make some changes to a watch face.
It included AQI, but when I unpack the watch face with Watch Face Editor 13.02, the AQI is deleted from the .json file. There's an option in the editor to do so.
How can I add the AQI?

Thanks.

@Galle81 There is no AQI in the editor. It can be added only by correcting the code in the finished watch face.

Okay, thanks. Can I add the code manually by writing it into the .json file?
If so, what would the code be?

Congratulations on the constant development of the tool. I have a problem with the temperature graph. The lines are not refreshing, so as the weather changes, the lines are overlapping each other.

@bazaglia Send me a watch face where this problem occurs and I'll try to check. But it's strange. Because when the screen is switched on, the graph is always drawn again.

Hello, First of all thank you for the work you do in the constant development of the sphere creator editor. Thank you very much.

In the latest version, the 13.2. I have noticed that if you use a font instead of images for the numbers or letter fields once the dial is packaged, although a folder is created where the font is saved, when it is installed on the clock the fields appear empty.
In version 13.1 what I just mentioned does not happen.

Another thing that I have observed when using another font other than the one of the program is that in the program the fields are alienated. However, once installed in the device the fields are displayed shifted upwards.
This happens only if an additional font is included. With pre-created images such as numbers, days of the week etc this does not happen.

Thanks again for your work.

@bibiyo66 In terms of working with fonts nothing should have changed in the latest version. You can send me a project with problems and I will check it. But first, after installing the watch face, try to restart the watch.

There is a problem with incorrect display of some fonts in the editor and so far I can't do anything about it. That's why there is a recommendation in the editor to check if the fonts work on the watch.

Thank you for your quick response.

What I said in my first message must have been a one-time glitch. I reinstalled the clock face created with version 13.2 and this time it installed correctly, with no empty fields and no need to reboot the device.

It is also true that with some fonts there is variation from how they look in the program to how they look later on the device. I will keep this in mind for future creations or adaptations.

On the other hand, as a curiosity, I imagine that the function has disappeared, as it existed in previous editors, to assign images individually for the tens of “hours” and units of “hours”. It gave a lot of play to create.

Thanks again for your hard work. I love the editors you have created. They are very complete.
Regards.

You must be referring to past models of watches. There it was a feature of the watch firmware and there was no other way to display the time. Here there is no such need and the time can be made by one module. The need for this may arise only in watch faces with a specific design. Therefore, it will not be in the editor. And if you need such a thing, you will have to write the code yourself.

To assign different images for the tens and units of the hours (and minutes), simply use the usual normal values plus the angle values, leaving the angle value at zero, as in this watch face https://amazfitwatchfaces.com/gts/view/11991
Best regards.

My watch face was re-approved on 10th after 16 days. I'll wait a week to see if it appears on the Zepp store.

Hello Sasha! First of all thanks for your great tool because it is very complete and efficient to edit all faces!:)

I have used it to modify some faces from this website and everything worked smoothly except one detail...
my new face is installing and working fine, I have also the preview of my face showing in the settings of my watch... but I don't have the preview of my actual face in Zepp app ? there is always still the preview of any other face taken last time directly from AW.

I have the file Preview.png in my folder generated by your tool, the resolution of this preview is 480x480 like my Balance resolution, could it be the problem with this resolution or maybe should I include another preview file?
Also when installing through developer mode I get this error message at the end:
install mini-program/watchface failed

By the way I have also a newbie question;) Is it possible with your tool to generate a very simple AOD face with only hours and minutes in 24-hours format ? The only format I have found is 12-hours format with am/pm ?

Many thanks in advance for your time!

Hi, as we all know, it's possible to add sleep duration by editing the code – it's not perfect, but it works to some extent. I'm not sure if it's just my eyes or if this feature is simply missing from the editor? As far as I know, it's also possible to create an animation of passing seconds around a circle, again through code editing – maybe it would be useful to add a button, so anyone interested could add this to their watch face without needing to know how to code?
