When unpacking the watch faces, it is advisable to immediately select the correct watch model, otherwise the colors may be distorted.

It is desirable to create a new project in a separate folder. Image names do not have to consist only of numbers, you can add short prefixes (for example, date_01, time_01).
Watch faces created in the editor and on Huami's website should unpack normally. Watch faces from Zepp and those created based on them will not be unpacked.
In a set of images for displaying one parameter (for example, images for displaying the day of the week), all images should preferably be the same size. If the size of the images is different, then the first image in the set should be the largest.

All new features in this and next release will be tested on the GTR4 and may not work on other models.

I don't understand what you mean by "random location AOD".
The position of all elements is specified by specific coordinates. The image on the AOD screen is shifted by a few pixels in a random order about once a minute, this is determined by the watch firmware.

You can write code that will change the coordinates of the elements in random order. The firmware of the watch allows you to do this. But writing code is a more complex process and in the editor this will not be possible.

I was unable to use the .tff file with the font in the watch face and I have not seen such watch faces. It is possible to display data in embedded font, but it is problematic. In addition, unlike GTR2, the system font cannot be rotated or written in a circle (I do not know about such possibilities). Therefore, I see no benefit from using the system font.

Ok I see ;) . Thanks for info. I think about that because I liked this feature with GTR2 and sometimes i thiked that It could be much better to change that system font to other style...but we can live without this

Anyway can't wait for next relase  Keep up great work

And one more question about animation features. GTR3 support .gif animations? Or it will be standard set of png images with option to adjust speed in editor.

GIF files are not supported. You can make animation using a set of images. It is possible to make an animation by moving along given coordinates, as it was in GTR 1, but I'm not sure about that.

This looks great - thanks for your hard work Sasha! I can see how to create a dial and export it as a zip.
But how do I get it on to my watch - a GTR3 Pro?

As a test, I've taken a basic face, changed the background on it, and now I'd like to upload it to the watch.
Apparently this involves overwriting .bin files in com.huami.etc data folders (with what - the .zip file created by the app?!), or pressing the upload button next to the download button in the app and then uploading (or downloading, or perhaps both simultaneously :D ) some files to somewhere but not the preview file because you can't change that and you can forget it all anyway if you have a phone with Android 11+ on it.

Sorry, I've spent many hours searching but I can't make head nor tale of it! Any clues anyone?
Thanks!

SashaCX75 , I'm sorry to disturb you again, but I'm facing a strange bug and i can't figure out what is happening..
I'm building a GTS 3 Watchface and everything seems to be ok until i upload my dial on the Watch.
On the tool everything is ok, also the preview generated is ok, but when I put the dial on the Watch, the image that I have use for the "1" of the hours results more larger than what it is, not the number itself, but the empty space around it. I have tried to modify it but show ever a lot of empty space around it.
Can you figure out what's going on?
Can i send my work to you to take a look?

Thank you so much @SashaCX75. I know this should be simple, but can anyone tell me how I actually install the .zip file on my watch after I pack it? Thank you!

The simplest way is using amacfaces android app.
You can upload your dials creating a private page on amazfitwatchfaces, then you put this page in your favourites and through the app you can install it really easily.

To test the face on the watch, it is faster to rename the zip file to bin and copy it to the memory of the mobile. Then the bin is opened in the mobile file explorer and it is told to open it with the amazfaces app. It will automatically take you to the installation option.

Aha, this sounds like we might be getting somewhere! Thanks for your reply Dema, can I please get some help from you?

I logged in to my account here.
I clicked on Upload, filled in the form and uploaded my test dial (test1.zip).
The link to make it private doesn't seem to work - it says "You do not have any uploaded watch saces" and just takes me to a seemingly unrelated page.

So I've uploaded a dial which has disappeared and which I can't make private. :(

Thanks Mazalas. On my phone (Android 11) I don't get the option to 'open' the bin with the Amazfaces app.
On an older phone I do get the option but when I try to install, it fails. This is trying it with a working file I just downloaded from this site and haven't modified in any way other than to change the file extension to .bin.
When I try to install the app says "Checking File ...xxx.zip" -- note it says 'zip' there, even though the file is .bin - so that's weird - then when I click 'Go to Installation' I get the failure message "Wrong format the file".

So - doesn't work. Any clues about what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks for looking!

Install a third-party file browser. In my case, I use MixExplorer but anyone should do. With this you can now open the bin with amazfaces.

Why do you get the error on the other mobile? It would have to be studied carefully.

Anyway, in your account there is "my upload" section, you find your page there, if you can't find it, if you try to do another private page, considering that can be only a private page for each user, the page show you a link to your other page.. I hope is clear, my English is awful..

See the attached photo for example

Yes, you can send your work. Only it is better to send not a finished dial, but the original project. If the error is not very noticeable, then it is better to somehow indicate in the photo or preview the place you need to pay attention to.

I tried to modify each number of my incriminate dial, to give each number the same X/Y dimensions, and that fixed partially the situation. The empty space around numbers doesn't look larger anymore, but i notice that the preview isn't exactly the same that the final result and I can't understand why, some numbers appears a bit decentred, it feels a bit strange.... my other dials doesn't have that problem.

I can send you a zip containing the json and the assets ok? I send you in private. Thank you

Yeah, like that'll make any difference... :? HOLY F**K, thank you so much Mazaias! I opened CX Explorer, (already installed) and it let me select file type 'Other' then allowed me to associate pretty much any app at all with the .bin. Which then opened perfectly in the Amazfaces app then installed straight on to the watch. Just to check, I did the same on the old phone and this time it didn't choke on the 'invalid file' error, nor 'recognise' it as a .zip, so that appears to have been some kind of bizarre error related to the stock file explorer. So the moral of the story is: use a third party browser, not the one that came with your phone. Because reasons  .

For some reason the thumbnail on my watch is a number '3' but I can live with that for now.

Brilliant, I am finally on my way to making my first watchface. That's this weekend sorted... Thanks everybody! :D

Personally, I prefer to use this program to install the created watch faces on the GTR 3 (for the GTS 3)
Excellent, thanks. I find it strange that it kinda overwrites the 'Get Moving' dial in the Zepp app in order to install its dials but it seems you can do this over and over again and nothing breaks...! And it installs the correct preview thumbnail too so all in all it works very well.

I'm looking forward to using your Watch Face Editor app this weekend!

Anyway, in your account there is "my upload" section, you find your page there, if you can't find it, if you try to do another private page, considering that can be only a private page for each user, the page show you a link to your other page.. I hope is clear, my English is awful..
Thanks Dema. I'll try it again when I have something useful to upload to the site :D . The other methods of transfer seem more efficient anyway.

Install a third-party file browser. In my case, I use MixExplorer but anyone should do. With this you can now open the bin with amazfaces.

Why do you get the error on the other mobile? It would have to be studied carefully.

I'm glad I helped.

As for the thumbnail of the number 3 I imagine it will be the preview. Select the correct image in "preview" within the "background" option.

New GT3 watches have Zepp OS and WF's are in zip format. Only WF Editor 2 for GT2 support bin files for previous generation
