I have 2 test dials installed right now. One has only a set of images on it. And it displays the sunrise image. The second one has sunrise and sunset times as well. Just tried it, but still shows sunset icon while value shows 6:59 which is sunrise, I guess I will just make it as sun icon without any arrows

Unfortunately, this option didn't work. I tried for a very long time and in the end i always figured it out with a still icon. The icon will not change depending on the time change.

What icon for both sunrise and sunset did you use then? Could you give me any idea?

If you use 2 images to display sunrise/sunset, the first image will be displayed during the day. So you need to put the second image on the background.
I don't know what your watch face should look like in the end, but according to the images they should be swapped.

For sunrise/sunset images you need 2 files, but only one (daytime) is displayed. Usually if you want the image to change and not just appear, the second image is drawn on the background.

The json file is just a manifest. It has never had any widget parameters in it. All widgets are in the js file. But sometimes the js file is encoded in bin and then you can't do anything with it.
I don't know for zmake. In my editor if you select the correct model then the images are extracted ...

The json file opens fine. But there is nothing useful in it. The bin files cannot be opened. That's why you can't edit this watch face.
The only thing you can do is unpack images from it.


How do they build these watchfaces then, if there is no positions or smth in json file?

I wanted to edit another watchface/watchfaces, but I'm struggling with unpacking it.
Sasha's editor doesn't work (says unrecognized structure of watchface),
I tried unpacking it via Zmake program I found on net, but seems like colors are changed a bit, also I can't open json file or bin to see ...

The watchface file you downloaded or bought from zepp, it should be in your phone, but if you want to find it, you need to root your phone or use device that rooted, to access the watchface file storage that zepp uses. But I'm not sure where it is, because I don't have a rooted device.
