Опис
Each numeral consists of seven concentric outlines, tightening and brightening layer by layer from the outside in. The outermost ring is nearly invisible; details sharpen toward the center. Just like an image slowly emerging in developer fluid, the picture comes together one layer at a time — hence the name, Development.
At the innermost layer, the numeral collapses into a solid narrow band that pulses with every second, flickering bright and dark once per second. This is the only animated element on the face, a subtle breath I kept by design. The watch need not demand constant attention, yet it quietly reminds you it’s alive.
When the screen dims, all seven layers and the solid band fade away, leaving only a 2.6px stroke. Fewer lit pixels mean longer battery life. Even at minimum brightness, this outline remains legible.
Typeface: Fraunces. Its artisanal serifs complement the layered outlines without clashing.
