Minutes are the main text. Positioned at the bottom right in a serif font, the numeral takes up nearly half the screen. Dramatic stroke contrast lives within each character: heavy vertical strokes paired with hairline-thin horizontal lines. Against the black background, it looks like printed metal type. It needs no ornament; the letterform itself carries all the beauty.
Hours are the postscript. Top left, same font set in italic, less than one-third the size of the minutes, rendered semi-transparent. Like fine print at the foot of a page: you need it, yet it should not distract you. One number sits bottom-right, the other top-left, separated by empty space spanning the whole display.
That emptiness is not unused leftover space. Anchoring each numeral to a corner creates balanced visual weight for both. On a black screen, elements near edges feel cramped. We choose to leave space open. White space is intentional design, not what remains after filling the canvas.
In always-on mode, both numbers switch to hollow outlines, with unchanged position and typeface. The reasoning is practical: keeping the screen lit all night. Hollow outlines cut lit pixels by more than half, extending battery life. Outlines stay legible even at low brightness — a balance between power saving and readability. The layout stays identical day and night: fundamental honesty for a watch face.
This watch face has nothing extra. No date, no battery indicator, no animations. None of them matter in a two-second glance. One large, one small: one primary text, one footnote. Everything else yields to black.

The Zepp app request the weather data from it's own backend (a REST API), wich itself gets its weather data from Xiaomi. Xiaomi has a weather service/app wich aggregates weather info from different sources worldwide wich are not disclosed....
