Post by M.Casper »

since i installed the first unofficial watch faces i have noticed that the band consume over 20% of battery per day, until i restored an official watch face. Now the situation seem to be stable.

Showing Pulse on WF is battery draining.

Because it looks like each time you try to see the value, it launch Mi Band's Pulse calculation = battery drain

@lvpokka is the battery life highly dependent on the size of the bin file? I know that the size of the bin file will depend on images.
Will the features (pulse, calories, steps, distance, time, date etc.) on the WF also drain the battery faster?
Example: WF with only time displayed will it less drain the battery than a WF with time, steps and pulse?

They're about the same figures as I've been experiencing, the battery life is shocking at the moment.

Hopefully a new firmware sorts it, & soon!

I’m experiencing the same problems with the battery drain. I now suspect the app I use to upload watchfaces to the band is the cause. It keeps the connection open and does something that drains the battery. (I’m using AmazTools on iOS).
Last night in 6 hours 10% drain. A few days ago 40% drain in 24 hours.

Unpairing the mi band and pairing again seems to solve it for me. Now the last 4 hours only 1% drain, with a custom watch face installed.

Reboot Mi Band 4.

I also had battery drain after install my Watchface that as animations, and just reboot in Options.

It worked for me.

Rebooting the device is even better I think. But don't forget to close the AmazTools app. You never know what it does on the background after the band is rebooted.
