Bluetooth Reliability - 1st gen Amazfit Bip

Post by GaryM »

I've had my Bip now for 3 months. My main use is my on-call work during off hours. Having my work phone not tied to me during this time is great, just having the watch notifying me of incoming calls/sms is awesome.

Several times though being having the phone in the next room the bluetooth connection will disconnect. The only way to re-connect is to recycle the phone's bluetooth off/on. Overall the connection is poor at best, at 30ft or more away the connection is lost and many times having to recycle phone bluetooth.

Compare that to my 1st Pebble is totally the opposite, I can maintain a connection 50ft or greater and if I loose connection it automatically reconnects without issue.

What are your experiences with the Bip?

Don't leave your phone too far away (especially when there is a wall isolation), you will be too far away to answer the call when it comes in.
