[ANALOG] Problems with the second hand
Hey guys,
Since I'm new to this forum, I wanted to say hi and come guns blazing with a problem right away! ^^
I love automatic watches, so I try my best to make the proper watchfaces to correspond with the original.
I ran into this problem, which for me is kinda hard to explain without doing it step by step.
So below I have a picture of my newest project with the real finished dialhands as a working gif export.
[SEE ATTACHMENT ALangerReal.png]
But as soon as I upload it on my MiBand4 all the watchhands are gone.
[SEE ATTACHMENT No Hands.png]
First I thought it was 'cause of the specific grey color used...
Maybe MiBand doesn't support it...?
So I changed the color but problem stayed the same of course.
I remembered doing the hole in the second hand though:
"Shape": [
{
"X": -10,
"Y": 0
},
{
"X": -11,
"Y": 2
},
{
"X": -14,
"Y": 0
},
{
"X": -13,
"Y": 1
},
{
"X": -11,
"Y": 1
},
{
"X": -10,
"Y": 0
},
{
"X": -11,
"Y": -1
},
{
"X": -13,
"Y": -1
},
{
"X": -14,
"Y": 0
},
{
"X": -11,
"Y": -2
},
{
"X": -10,
"Y": 0
},
{
"X": 10,
"Y": 1
},
{
"X": 25,
"Y": 0
},
{
"X": 10,
"Y": -1
}
],
As soon as I removed the part with the reversing string for the hole...
{
"X": -13,
"Y": 1
},
{
"X": -11,
"Y": 1
},
{
"X": -10,
"Y": 0
},
{
"X": -11,
"Y": -1
},
{
"X": -13,
"Y": -1
},
everything worked fine, but without the hole in the second hand...
FYI
I tried Palette and Raw Mode.
Changing colors also.
Re-arranging the reverse string (make the arrow on second hand bigger), maybe screen pixel can't show it the right way??
Also the hole is only on the end of the second hand not on the front so function "Only Border" should stay on false imo.
Since I'm a perfectionist I would like to make it work somehow.
If anyone can help me out I would be very greatful for your time and info.
Also if you guys have any other idea please feel free to share with me.
Thanks!
Here's the finished project, if anyone is interested to try it out alone:

Sadly, I have no idea...
I tried a few combinations where I used more dots and it worked fine...
Just left out the negative ones mentioned above.
I saw it in a post in the BIP discussion section where a guy could only use 5 dots in his second hand.
Is there a maximum of dots that can be used?
Also if there is, does it depend on how much dots I use in general, or is it per hand?
Is there a definition known for MiBand4?

maximum of dots - yes but i didn't test how much)
in general, or is it per hand - its mixed, one more hand lower number of allowed dots in general) (as i understood)
Just test different combinations and then please share this info with us) but anyway number of dots is around 20
as my advice, download working one with complex hands and test there)

Oh well...
I tried everything to make it work.
There are two possible ways:
{
"X": 5,
"Y": 0
},
{
"X": 0,
"Y": 0
},
Only then the second hand is shown correctly.
With the original second hand hole there are 31 dots -> Does NOT work!
Without the cutout there are 27 dots -> Works perfectly!
This is really only trail and error.
Until someone nails it down, every project will have its unique issue with custom dialhand shapes.

There are two possible ways:
- Erase one hand (minute, hour) string completely
- Erasing everything dot by dot and try out all the BINs in between
