Extract images from watch face installed via zepp app [T-Rex 3]

Post by dev_null »

I have installed a watch face from the zepp app (Planetary Universe by zeppewf001) on my T-Rex 3.
Is there any way to get the files for it so I could modify it? Either by extracting it from the watch or by getting it from an alternate source. I'd like to change a few of the elements and if possible add interactions so I can launch apps by touching certain elements.
I know that I probably will have to rebuild it, but it would help if I could at least get the images used in it as a starting point.

Thanks a lot!!! This will be my starting point for learning to develop stuff for my watch.
It's also great that this is the developers homepage. If I manage to build something good I can get in touch with him for publication. I wouldn't want to publish something based on someone elses work without involving them.

the way i do it is to use bluestacks emulator, load it and root the emulator, check its rooted then you load zepp in the emulator and login, then using the file manager in the emulator you navigate to the folder where the watch faces are stored, before you do this you go into zepp on the emulator and make sure you download the watch faces you want, by rooting the emulator you can get into the folder structure for the zepp app and retrieve the faces, ive been doing it this way for a couple of years now and if someone provides you with their login you can download there faces, ive only had few people allow me access to their accounts but they were desperate for modifcations to faces that they paid for, its easy when you know how to do it, there are youtube tutorials on rooting bluestacks, you simply go in an edit a text file in the software folders on windows and then run the root checker .. in the past i used to be able to root my phone and do it but since i use banking a lot on my phone thats no longer possible, i could get an older phone and do it on that i suppose but i like the convenience and speed of doing it on pc.
