Zepp Watchface exporting to .zab file?

Post by f4bulous »

Hi!
I'm creating my first watchface for Bip U Pro and i used the official Zepp Watchface website ( https://watchface.zepp.com/designer/ ) to create it, but when i tried to export it gave me a zab file.
How do i convert it to a bin file? Do i just need to rename it or do i need to do something special?

Zab uses zip compress format. You can uncompress it using winzip or winrar. After uncompress you will find the zip file. That file will be a compressed BIN file. after you uncompress that zip file you will see BIN ( watchface. )

File BIN is a not GTR4 Format
after you unpack file BIN you must to bring resource after unpack file BIN , and bring it to create a new watchface for GTR4

Extracting BIN files and zip using the same resources obtained from BIN files is not compatible with GTR4.
You must to bring the resources you have obtained to create a new watchface for GTR4.

Program for use create GTR4:

How to bring zip in zap to upload in web :

Hi,
I am a complete novice... I encountered a similar problem. I downloaded a zab file, and follow the advices above I extracted it. But there are no bin files inside. Instead, I see a json file and another zipped file *.zpk Inside *.zpk there are two more zip folders: device.zip and app.zip. And there is no bin file anywhere....

Am I doing something wrong??

First of all, you should inform us which device you are using, because if not, it will not be possible to explain properly.

Based on your description, I'm assuming you're using a device running Zepp OS ( GTR3 GTR4 ).
if my guess is correct The watch face file that you can use is Device.zip itself.

The BIN file you mentioned is a watch face file for older devices that do not run Zepp OS.

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for the confusion!

I am using Zepp E Circle. I have no idea which OS it runs, it does not tell me (system/about only shows firmware version). But I don't think it is Zepp OS, since the watch is about the same age as GTR 2

UPDATE:

Yes, now I realize my mistake! In the WatchFace Editor I should have selected "non Zepp OS", then it creates a *zab file with *bin files inside! Alright, that was useful to learn! Thanks again for your help!

I have the same problem and I find a way to fix it

step one: unzip the .zab file by 7-zip or other app, you will get a .zip file like "XxxXXxxXXXXXxxxxxXxXxxxx.zip"

step two: unzip "XxxXXxxXXXXXxxxxxXxXxxxx.zip", you will get a bin file like "source.bin"

step three: choose a link that you can visit faster viewtopic.php?t=2658 and download "华米2代AmazFit_Watchface_Editor_2.zip"

step four: unzip and run "AmazFit_Watchface_Editor_2.exe"

step five: use "unpack compressed .bin" and do nothing, then use "pack and compress .bin", you will get a new .bin file like "source_packed.bin"

all done.
