I am not sure the phase is work correct or not , I never use two moon picture in the moon phase action

Yes its working,
I made it with a real moon.
the new moon image has to be the 8 image(instead of the first image) and full moon is the 4th image.

in the watch face editor you can choose more but it says only 8
