At the request of @CBX /amazfit-band/view/292 the AOD was changed and shows the time, name of the day, day number and month number, everything else the same.

The Zepp app request the weather data from it's own backend (a REST API), wich itself gets its weather data from Xiaomi. Xiaomi has a weather service/app wich aggregates weather info from different sources worldwide wich are not disclosed....

the effect also occurs in V1. It is just less obvious. You can even see it on screenshots taken with Gadgetbridge:

I believe it has to with OLED screen saving because at different times the display is cut off either left or right. I don't think there's something wrong with your watchface. I just think you have to take a margin of a few pixels into account to prevent getting the characters cut off.
