Description:
SUMI TWIN 30 — two dials of the same size, stacked edge to edge. A minimal analog + digital face for Xiaomi Smart Band 10, with Japanese date typography.
The upper dial is a 30-minute counter, like the one on a chronograph: a single orange hand makes one full turn every 30 minutes, with 30 at the top, numerals every 5 minutes and a tick for every minute. Directly below, touching it, sits a full time dial with numerals 1-12. Both dials share one tick language, so the pair reads as a single object.
Features
Upper dial: 30-minute counter (one turn every 30 minutes), numerals 5-30 with minute ticks
Lower dial: analog time with numerals 1-12 and seconds
Digital time (24h) with seconds in orange, zero-padded, under 12 on the lower dial
Weekday and date in Japanese inside the upper dial (e.g. 水曜日 / 10月14日)
Heart rate and steps, with a step goal bar that turns orange when the goal is reached
Weather icon and temperature
Battery icon with a live level, which turns orange at 20% and below
Bluetooth disconnect alert, shown only when the band loses connection
A quiet line from Gandhi, "明日死ぬように生きよ" (live as if you were to die tomorrow), set in the upper dial
Dedicated always-on display (AOD) with the same layout, dimmed, without the second hand
Design
Pure black background for OLED efficiency
A single orange accent, used for the counter hand, the second hand, the seconds and alerts
A bold second hand with a counterweight and a fine black keyline, so it stays readable over the other hands
Data cells stacked as icon over value on a two-column grid, so nothing shifts as digits change
Figures set in Inter, Japanese in BIZ UDPGothic
Both fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License.
Credits
Originally based on “IOS-VN-” by bmn.2312, which itself is a mod of a Mi Fitness watch face. The design has been completely redrawn.
