Since we are very limited in size of Watchface file, we can`t design and made all we want. This is the main reason, why the Battery and Steps progress bar have only 5 states.
About battery: 5 states mean 20% each one. If you have 50% of battery - defenetly you won`t can`t see the full bar, you will see a part at least (a little more than part). Same to the Steps - 5 states. If your goal is 5000 per day - every 1000 steps you will see diffirent bar. P.S.: Have you considered to put Sunday on the top (where is Monday now)? I consider Sunday as a peek of the week. It seems logical and natural (to me). And after Sunday week starts to roll around again ;-) and as weekend is closer indicator starts to rise toward the Sunday
