The Tank's name and design pays homage to the Renault FT-17, a French tank used during the first World War.
Cartier gifted the Tank's first prototype to U.S. General John Pershing in 1918.

I'm working on the Tank Americaine Version with silver sunburst dial and blue hands as well.
Since there are no clean stock pictures of it, I have to photoshop every inch of the dial to make the shadows and sunburst effect look real. It takes a lot of time, which I don't have to be fair, but stay put...
