Description
Dial inspired by the Raketa model
The Raketa pulsometer is not an electronic device but a Soviet wristwatch (from the 1980s) manufactured by the Petrodvorets Watch Factory; it features a graduated scale on the dial for manually measuring heart rate.
How it works:
Wait for the second hand to reach the 12 or 6 o'clock position.
Begin counting 15 pulses (for example, at the wrist).
At the 15th beat, read the number indicated by the second hand on the dial's pulsometer scale: this value corresponds to the heart rate in beats per minute (bpm).
The mathematical principle is simple: if 15 beats take X seconds, the rate is (15/X) × 60 = 900/X bpm. The scale on the dial is pre-calibrated to provide the result directly, eliminating the need for manual calculation.
