Description

Watchface

Bell & Ross BR 01-92 TURN COORDINATOR. The watchface has three rotating discs, one for hours, minutes and seconds each. You can see the current time at the orange indicator.

The watchface was created from scratch and required some clever tricks to get the watchface size below the supported 2MB.

elParkeur There is not much I can do. The file size is not the issue. I guess the watch is struggling with the big hours hand which is basically the whole background of the watchface. There was no other way to get the file size below the 2MB limit. 03.03.2020 16:29:33 Complaint

elParkeur Transparency does not make any difference only the dimensions matter. If I use a background, that is smaller than 454x454 pixels, the watchface no longer works on the watch. 03.03.2020 16:41:18 Complaint

dexter_master To fix the problem with compressing and with uncompressing in the watch, you can just not use the "Preview" picture. That's all Well

paulomodesto Very cool watchface, but beside the slowness, I can't do nothing with the watch, I can't even enter menu.
The numbers should be showed and scrolling for the other side.

elParkeur I think I tried everything to eliminate the lag but with no success.

  • Removing the preview image reduces the file size but not the lag.
  • Compressing the bin improves the install time but not the lag.
  • Removing the seconds hand has no effect on the lag.
  • Using no bg image or a very small one just causes a black screen on the watch.
Due to the file size restriction, I need to use the same image for the background and the hours hand. So having the hours hand using the full screen size seems to be the root cause for the lag. 04.03.2020 09:10:09 Complaint
