To change background color & edit watchface touch longer, then touch on edit bottom below preview, touch on button to change distance/pai/weather etc, slide to next page / right to change bg color, press the physical button to return to the main screen.

About the background colour, you got 4 tab - black, shooting star or rain, blur colour & black again. Is it? 2 black?

ThomasWong, nope it's different background, but differents are visible at high screen brightness level.
