Description
The Mandelbrot set. A mathematical fractal monster first shown by B. Mandelbrot at IBM labs. The complexity and sense of this object have been studied since then, noone knows why this kind of mathematical objects with infinite and unpredictable details are lurking in the deeps of the numbers. I studied them in my youth with my very first computers and still keep a deep respect to them and many other fractals, some of them found in everyday life. I can remember it took me weeks in the 80's to render some fractals and print them with dot-impact printers. Nowadays it can even be rendered with your watch in a few seconds. Giant steps have been taken, although not always in the right direction.
The Mandelbrot set deserves at least a themed watchface in my list.

Thnx magonegro your description reminded me of the amazing time with my amigas and demos from the scene in those times with all kind of fractals etc.

wax, Indeed. For me that were the gold times of discovery. I even developed a tracker to play mods for a lttle demo of our group at that time. The demo scene was full of magic and talented people. I miss that very much.

magonegro, yes that was a fantastic time. I remember developing games with sprites and bobs and making music using protracker simply in amos. No internet just learning from a book. Later started with Modems started my own BBS for fun etc. Home computer was something special. Demos were everytime something your mind was blown from how do they do that with this hardware. There were so many talented people in that time programming around hardware specs.

wax, Seems like you are one of that old guys like me who has seen a lot of things through the years, and that knows and understands the value of the things. Don't ever stop developing and investigating. The scene has changed a lot since then and there are a lot of new types of actors, but old school in this case is a great advantage, at least we know that magic is still possible since a developer point of view. magonegro, exactly and appreciate how everything is connected. I can advise you to watch this series called Halt Catch and Fire. it's like going back in time and experience it all over. It's starts with the first ibm clone by hacking the bios of the original and goes all though the 80ths to 90ths c64 game development, internet etc. How it all started. It's fiction but still very close to the original timeframe and companies and there hardware. Good day friend.
