Tool Description
1. The tool is based on a modified version of AmazfitBipTools, thanks to the original open source .
2. The tool supports unpacking, packing of the official watch face bin file.
3. Mi band 4 supports 16,581,375 colors.
4. Mi band 5 supports 15,499,008 colors.

How to
1. Unzip MiBandWFTool_X.X.zip.
2. Download .bin file from catalog or get standard watchface file.
3. Drag the .bin file to WatchFace.exe (in step 1. , get the decompressed file)
(if there is only one log file, the decompression failed).

4. There are two ways to modify the dial.

• is to modify the corresponding image file and replace it with what we want.
• is to modify the corresponding json file and modify the position of the image.

5. After all the modifications are completed, drag the modified json into WatchFace.exe in step 1 to get the corresponding bin file
(the file name depends on the name of the bin. If the .bin file is not generated, the package is wrong)

6. Copy the newly generated bin file to the corresponding directory of the mobile phone, and the synchronization will be completed. (This step is not very clear, you can refer to the original tutorial) above, you're done!

hi, i have a problem with the tool (4.1.0) When I load images in the batteryicon (which do not have a background and are PNG) when compiling it comes out perfect in the gif but in my Mi band 6 it fills the background with a blue color :c

Sladeth don't use palette mode for this type of images, probably it was compressed

lvpokka thanks! the palette mode was deactivated so I activated it and with that the bug went away, but I have another problem (which I also had before ) the images/animation of the step advance does not appear at the beginning of the progress, the first image does not appear (it does not appear before approximately 800 steps) D: but it does in the gif preview

Some good news! I tinkered for about a dozen iterations, and finally got the TimeZone1 and TimeZone2 to work. I have no idea what I did that finally resolved it, but it's now working. Next trick, and this one would be really nice, is to get the UV index working. Currently, when I add the properties for UVIndex, the entirety of the Weather property breaks (doesn't display). In comparing UVIndex to Wind (which is working), I notice that the syntax is a bit different. Wind has "Wind{Text{data},ImageSuffixEn}" whereas UVIndex has "UVIndex{UV{Text{data},SuffixImageIndex}}". When I make UVIndex's syntax match Wind's, the packer throws an error, though. Anyway, if you'd be willing to take a peek, I'm including a Google Drive link. contrast3 (no UVI) works, contrast4 (with UVI) does not.

Hi, I have a quick question. Is there a way to make an element to be on top of another? For example I want the am/pm to be on top of battery percentage indicator, so that if I use 12r time format on my band, am/pm will appear and when I switch to 24hr time format, am/pm will disappear thus reveal the battery percentage under it.

I would like to know if there an error with the "PAI" on our watchfaces.
I have noticed on 2 different watchfaces from this site that if the PAI is above 250 (or 256....), the watchfaces show a wrong number.
I think that there is perharps a problem with the number of bytes possible.
Have you notices the same things?

SEDO is absolutely right, there is a bug, and not only with the heart rate, but with all progress indicators.
The internal MI WFs already show the first progress step (blue for heart rate), while our custom WFs still show nothing.
My workaround is also to put the respective first image on the background.

I am thinking to do like that as well, but I don't like the fact the first indicator will be always on also if heart rate is not recognised

I am trying to do a step progress bar with 12 segments. when the internal MI WFs show the first and second segment my WF shows nothing. Also when the internal MI WFs show the last progress step, my WFs show the 11th segment and never shows the 12th segment . Although the gif animation that produces the WatchFace.exe all the segments work perfect and as expected.
Any idea why it happens ? is it bug of Mi Band 5 or something else ?

Hi, after decompressing and compressing back (even without the modification) any of watchfaces I can't get preview image on Notify for Miband upload screen. It says can't retrieve preview image. Also I can't change to that watchface back on the band iself. So definitely something is with preview img. Where could be the issue ?

Hi, thanks for your constant work on this tool.
Unfortunately, I am having an issue with version 4.1.0 for the mi band 6, that is whenever I unpack a bin file and then recompile from the json file, it seems to destroy most of the display functionality of the watch face, specifically, the weather information and the am/pm display. After unpacking I did not alter the files in any way I simply repacked and the issue was present.

I'm trying to decompile and recompile this custom watchface , but weather info disappears in the band even though I didn't change anything, just decompile and recompile, I think it is a compiler bug that can't handle all weather data being together, but if it is, how can the creator of that custom watchface compile it without breaking weather data?
Is there a workaround that can achieve this?

- is there any way to reorder layers in z-index?
- my current images are being transformed from 8-bits depth to 32-bits. Is there any way to keep the original format? Otherwise I am getting troubles with final size.
- I wonder if your code is already publicly accesible (or if it could be) so we might help to investigate further these kind of questions.

Another question lvpokka , do you know if there is any way to reuse the same image on weather or months icons? I wonder if instead of needing to specify imageIndex and indexCount, we could specify an array of image index (where we can point to the same image and reuse it).

I found the solution, there is a bug in the compiler that can be patched using hex editors on the generated ".bin" files

The problem: the tool writes hardcoded header to the generated .bin files that caused my issue.
Solution: You have to edit the generated .bin file and change bit number 80 to "þ"

Solution tutorial using notepad++: change the character in the picture by this character "þ"

The tool contains a fixed hardcoded bin header that is pasted on any generated watchface, I assume there is a property that states how many JSON keys are used, which becomes a problem when you exceed this key amount.

I was trying to modify the mentioned watchface, but weather data get corrupted even if I just decompile and recompile it without modifying anything.

I compared the generated bin with the other watchface that is working correctly and I found that they are identical except for that byte I mentioned.

Why not "ÿ" like FF?

Well, I just copied that byte as-is from the working watchface, maybe "ÿ" would work too, the tool should count and report the right amount of JSON keys to the header.

Weather normally works if you select some info but not all, if you select all weather info it won't work.
