Can't install new faces to T-Rex from Pixel 3a [T-Rex]

Hi everyone. Hope I can find some help here.

I just got my T-Rex and registered on this site and got the app. I've tried to install about 10 different faces and it always goes to 100% and then says there's a Sync issue. I've tried loading multiple different faces from the Zepp app first but no luck. The watch is discoverable. I'm at a loss here.

Same with Galaxy S20 Android 11.

I did find a few videos on youtube about putting the .bin files directly in the folder for the app and that works. I have 6 screens loaded now. The worst part is trying to remember which screen is which but, I guess it comes with the territory.

I found the "Notify for Amazfit & Zepp" app. There is a menu in settings that brings watchfaces from here (amazfitwatchfaces,com) and by logging in there, you can access your favorites. No errors and easier than manual installation you mentioned. Worth the try.
