Changing distance units on watch face? [T-Rex]

Is there an easy way to change distance units from "km" to "mi" on a watch face? Or does that require designing a new watch face?

If I'm not mistaken, setting units can be done through Zepp app (on your phone).
Launch Zepp, goto profile, at the very bottom choose settings and finally you can change "Units" at the top.

I already have that Zepp app "Units" set to "imperial/miles," but the custom faces available on https://amazfitwatchfaces.com/ still show distance in "km".

However, if you use one of the stock Zepp app watch faces available for T-Rex in the Zepp app, then these faces do show distance in "miles." And hence my original question: if the distance units on stock faces are controlled by the "Units" setting in Zepp app, then why does it not work the same way with custom faces?

Maybe someone who has access, can reverse engineer one of the stock T-Rex faces to see how that miles/km function was implemented there so that it can be replicated in custom faces?

Version 10.0 of the editor now allows you to change between KM and Miles.
