Anyone knows how to upload watch faces from Mac computer?

Post by Naluman »

Does anyone have any idea what could be going wrong? I followed the steps to upload faces saved on my Mac computers to the watch from this site. Here is what is written. After I install the Android File Transfer tool to my Application folder on my Mac computer, I then attach my Stratos 3 watch to the OEM Amazfit charging magnetic cradle, My watch goes into a charging mode as percentage can be seen on the watch screen. I don’t get no files showing up on my desk top after plugging the charger into my USB port. Any idea what could cause the watch and my Mac computer not to sync?

Here is the instructions I followed.
Setting .WFZ watch faces format via Mac
Connect the smartwatch to your Mac.
Make sure you have Android File Transfer installed.
After connection, the internal memory of the device will be available to you.
Put in the WatchFace folder all the watch faces that you would like to set on the watch.
Disconnect the device from your Mac.
Now the watch faces will be available for installation in the watch's menu or the Amazfit application.

Sometimes this problem occurs, try reconnecting the watch. Also check the contacts on the watch itself may be dirty.

I cleaned the watch connection and also the charging base connection pins and still no indication of syncing to my Mac computer. The watch face just goes into a charging mode from my usb connection from my Mac. I have a feeling it’s a software issue and the Android Transfer File Ap needs updating or something. When I click on the Android File Transfer app it says no android device can be found. Would anyone know if there is another android file transfer Ap that may work? I just may have to give in and connect this to an old Windows PC that I have not used in a long time. Would be nice if AmazFit could create an app to download the face files loaded to my IPhone files folder and assist with the uploading of the watch faces. Still looking for any help in getting this done with my Mac computer .

Update: I ended up trying to install on Windows 10 on my Dell Laptop. The Windows 10 computer is the same as on my Mac, no indication of a connection to my laptop except that the watch is charging by usb. I plugged and unplugged, I cleaners the connection and no difference at all. I wonder if there is an issue with the charging unit, software or drivers problem. If the charger could be recognized by my computer it would help a lot. Let me know if you had any issues and how you solved them. I like this watch very much but I can’t make use of the music download feature I bought it for.

Update: I finally got my favorite watch faces loaded. The only way it worked was through the WiFi method which uploaded each one separately while working together with the Amazfit app. I noticed the watch faces only show up on my watch while in the SMART mode and not the ULTRA mode. In the ULTRA mode, have to use the Amazfit App to change my watch face. In the SMART mode I have to use the watch itself to charge the watch face and here is where you can view your newly added watch faces.

Update: The iPhone Amazfit Watch Face App now crashes every time on start up. I deleted the App and reloaded with no luck. I tried loading in Airplane mode with no luck. The App just crashes when I click on the icon with about 1 second of viewing time before shutting off. I wish the new iPhone Watch App update will fix this crashing issue. I’m glad I got a bunch downloaded before the App crash. My cable cradle still does not sync to my Mac or Windows 10 computer,

You can firstly try restarting it because most of the times the watch faces tend to hang, try this out first and then if it doesnt contact the tech support team.
