Help with degree and minus symbol

Hi, I've created and uploaded this watch face - https://amazfitwatchfaces.com/gts/view/629 but for some reason I can't get it to show the minus and the degree symbol for current temperature. I've tried everything possible, even trying setting it up from original watch faces that have weather, and still nothing works. Please help.

Hi Ekohero, I'm using the original tool for GTS from ghizchina viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1063 haven't updated from the original release. My main goal is to create a watch face with large weather icons. I've created my resources and JSON, then I've compiled it into bin with the Python tool and GTS command, and after that I've used the resource packer to compress the bin. I'm sure that my JSON and resources are OK but nothing I've tried worked. Looking forward to your reply.

I changed the minus with your monday Symbol and degree with tuesday symbol to see whether the 56-58 Symbols are ok. And vola "monday 27 Tuesday" so the jason works. There must be a Problem with the pngs

Yeah, I've tried your suggestion, replaced the minus with another PNG in the pack and worked - distance suffix - km symbol, the degrees I've decided to fix it in the background in order to reduce the issues I was having and focus only on the issues with the minus sign. I know that the bin file is larger than usual because I've created very large weather icons 128X128 but it should work. I've created all my PNG's the same way, in Photoshop export to PNG, and the minus PNG was created in the same artboard of my small numbers and exported the same way as the small numbers and yet it's not displayed on the watch. I've been using another python tool on the forum with fixed array and it still doesn't show the minus sign

Bad transparency problem or the tool don't recognize your PNG [ Minus and ° so small that the tool make an error refuse to compile or see it as transparent area and compile it as a transparent object ]
Try to redo the Minus PNG [ or put a Minus symbol from another watchface to see if it finally show for testing ]
The Minus symbol is on a black area, you can try paint black all around the minus symbol
Or Full black in Layer 0 // Minus symbol in Layer 1 Fusion the two layer, Save it to Jpg, Reopen the Saved Jpg, Save it in PNG

Saving to Jpg, reopening it and saving in PNG will totally break the transparency with the JPG [ JPG have no Transparency channel on it ]

If Minus icon replaced by day Icon show, It's a problem with the PNG [ or negative alignment coordinate space, but it don't seem to be this problem ]

Thanks, it still doesn't work. What I've tried so far:
- replaced the minus symbol with km symbol and decimal point - that works OK on the preview GIF, preview in Sasha's tool and on the watch - 10x Ekohero for suggesting this
- used a minus symbol from other watch face - original huami and user created - works OK in the preview, preview in Sasha's tool, on the watch I doesn't show up, current temperature where I am is -4C, the temp on the watch Weather section is -4C on the watch it only shows 4, I've added °C on the background and it's fixed so that is visible no matter what.
- went through all the steps Lordalpine detailed. The PNG is without transparency, also to be sure there is no negative alignment I've also overwritten the weather part of the JSON with one from an original huami face and made sure everything is aligned correctly. And still the minus sign doesn't show on the watch, what's interesting is that the DecimalPointImageIndex is shown, and it's even smaller than the minus sign, also if I reference the decimal point PNG as the minus sign it shows up in front of the temperature.

Honestly, Huami should release a proper watch face design tool and let the community add value to their products. I'm out of ideas on how to fix this minor huge issue.

Delete the image part where you call the image for the weather-> u can let the weather icons in the dir
just dont call it in your watchface -> the minus and degree will appear ?!?!
I made a new watchface and had the same issue after bringing a weather icon into play

You are right, the minus symbol shows up without the weather icons, but I wanted to create the watch face with the large weather icons. And make it a dynamic, changing watch face thanks to changing weather. So the weather icons was the central point of this watchface and is weird that I can't mark it as complete because of a stupid minus symbol.

Considering that removing the weather icon the minus symbol shows up it must mean is either a tool issue or a file size issue. Will have to investigate further. Thank you

OK, so is a size issue, I have to get the size of the uncompressed bin file under 1.5MB, if it's larger the minus symbol doesn't show up.

Yeah, it works with small weather icons, and if I keep the bin under 1.5MB. Somehow it doesn't matter the actual size of the PNG, only how the PNG is converted inside the bin. I have to figure out a way to have large weather icons and keep the size small. I've made this version https://amazfitwatchfaces.com/gts/view/645 and it works fully. The only thing missing is the preview, for that I used the background PNG to have something to show.

Haven't tried adding circles but I guess it's the same as huami original face. I'll have to study a bit the JSON, guess that if you keep the size below 1.5MB for the uncompressed bin, than any circle can have multiple PNG for progress, the same with battery and steps

I want to generate the circle with the specific function.
For battery its "Scale" following circle...for steps its step progress followed by circle (linear also works)...
And i think it consumes less space than using pngs.
