Why facebook comments?

Hello, I noticed we only can comment via facebook plugin. I find it not useful because there are also users outside without a facebook account...

The old commenting system was outdated and did not allow changing the structure of the site, besides all the comments were stored in text files. If you have any suggestions we are ready to consider them.
