By clicking on the activity icon, you can alternately display steps, distance, or calories.
Touch shortcuts:
Weather.
Sunrise (long-click on the weather area).
Steps.
Start a workout (long-click on the steps area).
Heart rate.
One-click measurements (long-click on the heart rate area).
Battery management.
Flashlight (long-click on the battery area).
Alarm clock (digital minutes area).
Stopwatch (long-click on the digital minutes area).
World clock (digital hours area).
Countdown (long click on the digital hours area).
Alexa (city name area).
Find phone (long click on the city name area).
Calendar/Agenda (date area).
Morning recap (long click on the date area).
The Bluetooth disconnected, Alarm, Do Not Disturb, and Lock icons only appear if the features are enabled.

You'll only find this feature on the watch apps that trigger GPS: hiking, outdoor cycling, swimming, running...
