Description

The Hamilton 4992B Navigator is one of my favorite pocket watches! Used for military navigation from about 1940 until the early 1960s, it features a 24 hour dial - rare on a pocket watch - and sweep second hand. Britain seemed to prefer the 12 hour 3992B, while the Americans went with this model.

This is my homage to this classic, with a true 24 hour analog dial (48 step hour hand). The nature of building a 24 hour analog dial means that it was not possible to do the spade hour hand featured on the original.

I originally just tried using images of the watch as a starting point, but the size of the .bin file completely blew up! I eventually had to go back and tweak everything down to strict black and white, and even then it still hits about 90KB. The Bip S does not handle above 125KB, so this is already pushing it.

frankukai Great watchface. Is it possible for you to make this for a Bip? I don't have a Bip S and therefore can't install it, but this watchface is really one I would like to use. 30.05.2022 00:44:54 Complaint

lookingforwatchfaces Very cool. I've been looking for a 24hr dial. Would be nice with no second hand to reduce battery power. But this is still fun to wear. Thanks. 08.06.2022 20:18:12 Complaint

Requesting creation of watch face [Bip 6]

I understand that you are using the degree indicator as part of the centering process, but I don't believe you should. The number only should be centered on the center line. In the picture you have posted, the 18 should be directly under ...
