Descripción
"Iron Maiden 1" provides a really good Eddie BoS pic with a nice array of information in a clean, minimal format, but it was a bit hard for me to use every day because I couldn't always keep the elements straight in my head, so I rearranged things a bit for my own benefit; the result isn't as aesthetically pleasing, but more useful to me, I thought perhaps to others as well. Changes are:
-- REMOVED: running seconds (a known battery killer); distance (I'm only interested in step count); Celsius indicator on temperature (I'm in the U.S. using Fahrenheit, so the C is misleading; because BIP reports temp in local units regardless, I didn't replace the C with a F, so the watchface works fine with C or F)
-- Shifted Eddie to the left of the watchface to allow more space for info elements, including . . .
-- Changed font for hours/minutes to a reduced white -only version of AleGranata's time digits. I like the way this reinforces the IM motif, and even though stylized, these big bold numbers are quite readable in ambient light.
-- Day/date is now immediately below the time with DAY over MM/DD format. I might replace the MM with MMM alpha month as I regard this as the best solution to the U.S./Euro day/mo mess.
-- Pulse is next to Eddie's neck with a small heart icon.
-- Steps are at the bottom with a footprint icon and goal achievement star.
-- The battery indicator is moved from the top of the screen to the middle and topped with a numeric battery %, incidentally cleaning up the IRON MAIDEN logo.
-- Temperature is near the top of Eddie's head, completing an arc from pulse to batt.status to current temp.
Overall, I can now more easily read the time and find the information I'm looking for while keeping that striking BoS image, at the expense of a slightly more cluttered look.
UPDATE 2019 MAY 25 - Replaced the generic star goal achievement icon with "metal horns" hand.
