How does it actually work?
It displays time using a dozenal notation.
The whole idea is based on digits and two letters (X = 10, Y = 11, 0 = 12).
The first symbol represents the hour in a 12-hour format, and the second symbol represents the minutes times 5.
The dots represent 1 minute past the displayed time (+0, +1, +2, +3, +4).
Examples: 14:57, 04:13, 22:41, 09:00, 17:54
Once your battely level drops below 40%, an orange bar appears. With every other 10% drop, it becomes more apparent that it's charge-time.
