If you use Watchface Maker you can find some guides in this link

Most of the basics can be applied to higher ZeppOS.

However, I haven't used watchface Make for a long time, so I can't recommend it more.
Currently, I use "Watch face editor for Amazfit watch on ZeppOS" to create watch faces, which this program supports - Amazfit Active 2.
If you use windows, I recommend you to try it, I think it is more convenient than Watchface Maker.

I'm not sure why your watch hands are not working.
I've tried to create a basic watch face with "watchface maker"
Amazfit Active 2. And tested with simulator and "Balance" , "bip6"
Because I don't have Amazfit Active 2, so i cannot test on Active 2 But all device that I test it use zeppOS nearby or same Version with Active 2.
From testing the watch hands, they can work properly.
I use the basic configuration from the guides sent earlier.
So I'm not sure what the problem is you're having. I guess it's due to some incorrect settings or it's possible that Amazfit Active 2 has a problem. But I'm not think if the problem is caused by Amazfit Active 2 because other devices using the same ZeppOS Version and simulator work without any problems.
