Any T rex 2 owners? Altimeter issue

Post by Lukimator »

Hi, can somebody with the T Rex 2 chime in to let me know if their altimeter is working decently?

Mine seems to be all over the place, according to the watch I climb like 30-40 meters while I'm sleeping at night and today while it was at work it went completely nuts and said -2995m (I don't work in a mine).

Is it the same for everyone and the altitude calculation on this watch is actually trash, or is mine faulty? I don't know if I should return it or it's pointless if all of them have the same problem. On my previous Huawei watch GT2 altitude readings were pretty consistent and I would see inaccuracies of 10 meters at most.

The altitude value is based on atmospheric pressure which can change with weather. You have to calibrate it to be accurate.

I have one too.. everytime I get into my car, climatized ambients.. that kind of places where air pressure changes, the clock gets this too.

Same here. I wonder if amazfit can't change the program to use also GPS position to calibrate the altitude. I mean check if we moved and if not then the program knows it's a variation in the weather and not the altitude.
