Zepp watchface maker problem

Post by gorbick »

Hi,

I just attempted to create my first watchface using the Zepp web tool (WhatchFace maker https://watchface.zepp.com/designer). However I cannot export it to my watch. I tried to use their QR code tool, but my Zepp app is simply hanging in the "downloading" stage forever. I saw on some other forums that the problem could be due to using two different accounts on Zepp app and in the WhatchFace maker. This is certainly my case, since in Zepp app I am logged in via the MI Account, but the WhatchFace maker does not recognize that. I had to create a separate account to be able to us it... But I cannot see how to migrate from Mi Account to a new Zepp account without loosing all my data??

Yet another way I tried is to use the "Export the watchface package". It downloaded a *.zab file, but I have no idea what to do with that. In a separate thread I read that this is actually a zip archive, and there must be a *.bin file inside. I unzipped that, but there are no *.bin files inside. I am lost now... :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I am sorry if I am asking some stupid questions - I am a complete novice. Just thought it is a cool idea to create my own watchface, but things are not a straightforward as they could be, apparently!

UPDATE

OK, I just figured out that I was using the wrong OS setting to start with: my watch (Zepp E Circle) does not run on Zepp OS. Once I select the appropriate setting (non-Zepp OS), the exported *.zab file contains two *.bin files. One of those two, "source.bin", I could use via Notify for Amazfit to install on my watch... phew, it works, after all!
