I just got asked to change my password, is it normal?

So as the title says, I was opening the site on my phone and got asked to change my password so I could get into the forum. Is it normal or my account is on risk or something? Thank you in advance

Yes, this is completely normal and expected.
The password change request is not related to a breach or a specific problem with your account. Over the years we’ve seen many cases where passwords leaked from third-party password managers or other sites, and those credentials were later used for massive spam attacks on the forum.
To reduce this risk, we introduced a policy requiring users to change their passwords periodically (currently once a year). In fact, we may relax this to once every two years in the future, as once a year may be a bit too aggressive.
So no worries — your account is not specifically at risk. This is a planned security measure applied to everyone.
