Dear Community Members,

We would like to inform you that we have recently received several takedown requests from copyright holders concerning specific watch faces available on our platform. As a result, we are required to remove certain watch faces to comply with these legal requests.

We understand that this may be disappointing to some of our users, but we must respect the intellectual property rights of all creators and brands. Our team is working diligently to ensure that our platform remains compliant with all legal requirements while continuing to provide a wide selection of watch faces for our users.

This topic will be updated regularly as we receive new takedown requests. Please check back often for the latest information.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our support team.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards,
The Amazfit Watch Faces Team

Oh boy, this is so unfortunate, isn't there any way to get it outside the store?

Unfortunately, the situation with copyright claims can be challenging. Rights holders often hire contractors to enforce their intellectual property rights, and these contractors may target a wide range of content without fully understanding the nuances. We are required to respond to these claims because we face legal threats, including potential lawsuits.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we must comply with these legal requests to avoid further complications. Thank you for your understanding.

Many of these are still available at the 4pda.to forum.

4pda.to is a pirate site based in russia, and they do not respect intellectual property rights. Unlike them, we are obligated to comply with copyright laws. We only remove content when we receive official documentation proving a violation. Thank you for your understanding.

What is the scope of this takedown? The watch face name? The logo? The watch shape?

The scope of most takedown requests usually focuses on the use of protected graphics, such as logos, icons, or specific design elements.
Spoiler
If you blur or remove these elements in the preview images, there's a good chance that the watch faces won't attract takedown notices. This approach can help you avoid issues while still sharing your designs.

It’s indeed challenging to balance creative freedom with legal compliance. Perhaps encouraging designers to create original watch faces inspired by general themes rather than specific brands can reduce such issues.

Perhaps the server should focus more on the originality of the works and the protection of the works that are being published here, instead of quantity of plagiarism from other servers. Looks would be cleaner this way and of higher quality.
I completely agree. Focusing on originality and protecting published works would not only improve quality but also set a higher standard for creativity. It could also attract more designers who value authenticity over imitation.
