Right now I'm using this one (simplified, en ddmm version): https://amazfitwatchfaces.com/mi-band-5/view/373
This other one was my go-to watch face until recently, and I made different versions with a more or less complex dial: https://amazfitwatchfaces.com/mi-band-5/view/323

I'm still using my WF Simplicity (Green) as it's easily visible even on the lowest brightness. https://amazfitwatchfaces.com/mi-band-4/view/13569

For anyone that wants to know the ins and outs of making Mi Band 4 Watch Faces ( even tilted/angled ones), I have a playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... HST_ZN7moS

I would say most of what I say in the videos is still true for the Mi Band 5, but they did add some additional options and changed the syntax a little bit in some cases.

I use Photoshop. I make different layers for each element, so that I can move them around until I'm happy with the result.
Then I crop the canvas and hide layers to save the images for each individual elements (like numbers 0-9 and such). I work with images without background when possible, so I can keep editing the file later on.
Finally, I use the Photoshop file to find the X,Y position for the elements.

For the JSON file, I just revise the files for existing watch faces, to see how the elements are coded.

BTW, some people leave unknown elements on the JSON files (for the weather icon, for example). I found the watch face works well without the unknown elements.

Any builder that you use to make watchfaces ?
lvpokka's Mi Band 4 WF Tool (v1.4.2) and Mi Band 5 WF Tool (v2.1.5).
I saw he just released a v2.1.6 version but I didn't try it yet. I downloaded the ZIP file but Windows defender considered it malicious and removed it.

Sure you can, but I never tried it. He's got only an MB4 version, and won't be making an MB5 version for now.

Start by unpacking an existing watch face, so you can see the elements and explore the code on the JSON file.
Then create your own design, or edit the one you downloaded by changing the background image or image elements, like time numbers and weather icons.

Finally, check the X,Y position for the elements on the JSON file to adjust them to your design, and pack the watch face.
