swimming in open water

when i swim in open water mode the distance seems to be off i have swim for 700 meter but the distance it record only 300 meters,
I have a similar issues when syncing to strava. Since I was swimming in a spot I know, the distance shown in the Amazfit app was fine but when syncing to strava distance was only 300m instead of almost 700 and time was only 4 minutes instead of 13 minutes.
I also saw that issues yesterday after a hike - wher the milage changed on strava from 12 km to 10 km and also time was wrong there.
I am just wondering since that worked fine for me the week before.
